Does the genetic cause affect the treatment available ?
No.
Knowing the genetic cause of an individual case of KS or HH will have no effect on the treatment available.
The majority of people with KS or HH will have no idea on the exact genetic cause.
There are research studies in various parts of the world who study the genes of people with KS and HH. This does not have any influence on the treatments available but may in due course lead to earlier diagnosis if they ever discover a defective gene common to all KS and HH cases.
